Swimming is a great low-impact exercise that can shed some pounds and keep the joints moving long into our dog's senior years. One of the most significant factors in judging the quality of life is mobility. Swimming helps keep joints and muscles moving and loose, extending that quality over less active dogs. At The Doggie Paddle, we offer you senior and rehabilitation swims in Oshkosh, WI.
Swimming laps, either by fetching a favorite toy or having a staff member with them, will keep your dog motivated and swimming. This is one of the best ways to keep them young! Don't wait until you see problems to fix them. Schedule a regular swim time and enjoy not only the present but a brighter future with your dog.
All first-time paddlers at The Doggie Paddle will need to be scheduled as Paddle with a Partner for the first session in the pool for instruction and safety measures. After that first assessment, you can choose between a Paddle or a Paddle with a Partner.
Has one of your pets had rehabilitation recommended by a Veterinarian after a surgery or injury? Low impact swimming may be a great part of any rehab plan.
Please understand that none of the Staff at The Doggie Paddle are veterinarians or are certified in rehabilitation. Use of the facility for this purpose should be under the instruction of a Certified Veterinarian.
